About
Book your free hour lesson now! I'm looking for adults and teenagers who are seriously interested in music, whether you're a beginner or already performing and recording. I'm a New York-based guitarist and bassist with a B.S. in jazz guitar and 12+ years of teaching experience. Currently, my focus is on producing records for Brooklyn indie bands and making beats for artists. Our lessons are built around your goals and the music you love. I cover guitar, bass, songwriting, improvisation, music theory, and production. Genre is not a question for me: I'm as comfortable breaking down a black metal riff as I am teaching jazz harmony or producing a DnB track. The center of my method is experimentation, compassion, in-depth analysis, and building student independence. I combine a neuroscience-based approach to practice with a distinct focus on your development as an artist. You will also get custom tabs and sheet music, running lesson notes, and access to me between sessions to answer questions. Invest in the music, and I will invest in you.

Tony was a really great teacher for my son. He taught him the basics and allowed my son to be creative at the same time! He and my son have even remained in contact after the lessons stopped. Tony is an awesome person and teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn how to play the guitar.

Details: 14 - 17 years old • No formal training • No, cannot read music • Acoustic • Jazz • What the teacher recommends • Rock • Blues • Yes, the student has an instrument • 45 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc. • Remotely (phone or internet)

Tony is amazing. He is a wonderful teacher because he is nice and very determined to making me an amazing player. He gets as excited as I do about playing and that makes me feel inspired and motivated! Please book a lesson with Tony :)

Tony was one of my first introductions to music and as I have progressed he continues to be my biggest influence and teacher. He is a rare breed of person who processes both creativity and knowledge of theory in volumes. His approach is easy to digest but without ever feeling like you are a novice who won’t progress into the musician you want to be. This is the music teacher you want at any level because he inspires you as both an instructor and a musician himself. There is honestly no one I would recommend more. He’s also funny and approachable which of course helps you want to continue with the lessons, something critical to getting better. You won’t regret lessons with Tony, he really is one of a kind.
