Introduction: Assembles metal parts and components in multiple sizes and types of structures and housings
Reads and interprets parts details and mechanical prints to assemble components
Installs components by reading and interpreting material lists, panel layouts and wire diagrams Fits parts together to form final assemblies using electric and air powered tools
Disassembles finished product, prepares for shipping and assists in the shipping process
Cross trains into all areas of the assembly process Assists in general housekeeping of work area
Ability to work in a team environment, has strong communications skills and demonstrates accountability Ability to work independently and take direction from supervisor or lead person
The ability to read a tape measure to 1/32th” Focuses on quality, customer service, safety, productivity
Must be willing to work overtime as required, including weekends
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds without assistance, and additional weight with a team lift or other lift assistance
Experience using various tools, including: manual/electric/pneumatic tools, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment
Excellent history of work performance, team work and attendance
Good understanding of blueprints/schematics Experience in reading mechanical drawings and working with electrical equipment
Conduit bending, cable and wire pulling, and basic knowledge of the NEC is a plus
