FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up gardening in my own yard and those of my neighbors, and after moving to the city, I’ve enjoyed recreating the farm-style gardens I grew up with while helping others transform their own outdoor spaces. As my experience has grown, so have the services I offer. What began as garden design and maintenance has expanded to include landscaping, patio improvements, and more extensive outdoor projects. Through hands-on experience, training with professional landscaping software and equipment, and work on a wide variety of properties, I’ve developed the skills to tackle the projects homeowners in the city and surrounding areas need most.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my customers have been homeowners, landlords, and long-term renters, but I have also done some work with corporate customers on designing and installing rooftop architecture and garden structures.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently worked on a 600 sqft yard in Brooklyn in which I tilled the soil, installed four open-base planters with an assortment of vegetable plants, laid a brick pathway leading to an oasis with a small table and chairs, planted an assortment of fruit trees and bushes around two sides of the yard, installed a grape vine trellis and young grape vines, and decorated the remaining yard with native grasses and wildflowers. I also designed this project. The design took a couple days to finalize and make the orders for, and the installation process took 10 days over the course of 2 weeks.
