Leo helped me with the pronunciation of a couple of Brazilian songs I'm working on. He came well prepared with take-home pronunciation sheets and had listened to the songs I was interested in ahead of time. He gave me a translation of one of the songs that I could never have gotten from the web or a book, because he put the lyrics in a cultural context that made my understanding of the material much deeper. He also helped me to strip my accent of regionalisms that were the unavoidable result of listening to and imitating singers from different parts of Brazil.
Leo is very professional, knows how to teach his language, speaks perfect English, and is also a very nice guy. We met in a coffee shop and were having such an interesting, fun time that I think we could have hung out longer if we didn't have to get back to our lives.
Obviously, I learned a lot, and recommend Leo highly.

We've completed 4-5 lessons and I am already so pleased with our progress!
Leo is clear, has paid attention to my personal goals when putting lessons together and has set a great learning pace for me-one that's not too difficult to keep up with but definitely pushes me a little.
He's also very easy to coordinate with and we're having fun... I definitely recommend him if you're looking for a Portugues tutor.

Leonardo is a truly dedicated tutor and knows The Portuguese Language and the linguistics of it extremely well. I have been working with Leo for a bit over two months and am so happy with my progress so far. He provides many useful handouts for reference and for review, He really works around what your goals you specially have and is very personable. I like his method of teaching and am very happy to have him on this sight to give me the right direction in learning Portuguese.
