About
I am a Berklee educated musician with a wide musical background. Whether you want to learn bass, piano, guitar, music theory, composition, or anything else I will start with the fundamentals and then progress as far as a student would like. I teach music with a contemporary style, using musical examples from popular music and jazz. Once a student has a grasp on the basics the lessons are then personalized. Each student chooses what to work on, and I will bring in musical examples, and create exercises that fit each student.
I love to help students accomplish something. When a student accomplishes a goal it is a great reminder that the spread of music is one of the beautiful aspects of life.

Ben is a really good teacher and musician. He's knowledgeable, encouraging, and he makes the lessons fun. I really feel that I will learn a great deal from him. I would highly recommend him to anyone from beginner to more advanced students looking to learn the instrument.

Ben is my fifth bass teacher and he is by far the best. In our first lesson, he answered a lot of music theory questions I had with competence and explained it in a way that made sense to me. Highly recommend a lesson with Ben!
