- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard piano lessons are 50 minutes, with weekly and twice-monthly options. Tuition depends on lesson frequency and the arrangement we choose. I’ll confirm the price, what’s included, and the scheduling details before we begin. We can discuss those options during a free consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We’ll start with a free consultation to talk about your experience, the music you enjoy, and what you’d like lessons to add to your life. We’ll also discuss scheduling, pricing, and your setup for online classes. In the first lesson, I’ll get a sense of your current playing and help you find a useful starting point. For complete beginners, we’ll begin with the keyboard basics and something simple to play. From there, I’ll guide the lesson plan and send recap notes with a clear focus for practice between sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started piano at age eight with a classical foundation. My background has since grown to include jazz, music theory, composition, arranging, songwriting, and production. While studying music in college, I worked as a choir director and played in bands and original projects. I’ve continued working as a pianist, keyboardist, composer, producer, and teacher. That range helps me explain how musical ideas connect, whether we’re working through a written piece, learning chords, or trying an improvisation.
