I had a great experience with Skinray Piano. He did an excellent job tuning my piano, and it sounds better than ever. He was professional, careful, and very easy to work with. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable piano tuner!

I cannot recommend Ilia Rayskin highly enough! For almost two years, Ilia has been taking care of and tuning my Sauter concert grand piano in Amsterdam, and I could not be happier with his work. As a professional pianist and piano teacher, the quality and condition of my instrument are extremely important to me, and since Ilia has been looking after my piano, I truly feel that it is in the best possible hands. Ilia is an exceptionally skilled and meticulous professional. He takes all the time needed to make sure that every detail is right, and the result is always wonderful. My Sauter sounds beautiful after his visits, and, remarkably, it holds its tuning extremely well for a very long time. Besides his expertise, Ilia is reliable, thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. You can immediately feel how much knowledge, care and respect he has for the instrument.
I am incredibly grateful to have found him and would recommend Ilia without hesitation to any pianist or piano owner looking for a truly excellent piano technician and tuner.

Highly recommended!! I recently inherited an old upright for free. It had a lot of sticky keys and was very out of tune. Ilia did an incredible job on it and made it totally playable. It sounds so great now!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A fine tuning will cost $175.
Pitch raises are $125 by themselves, however if I'm already there for a fine tuning, I will only charge $75 for the additional pitch raise.
Regulation will be assessed case specific. Expect around $800 minimum for extended regulation of the inner action. Fixing sticky keys can be as little as $25 for easy fixes and go up well above $200 for very complex and time consuming issues.
Everything else needs to be assessed on a case by case basis.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the customer provides information regarding the services that they need, I give them a rough estimate of what the work will cost and come to see the piano in person. We take it from there. No hidden charges ever!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with the best technicians in NYC! I've also attended various masterclasses and intensive training such as the NYSOPT. I have worked on hundreds of pianos in the US and Europe.
