Susan M. says, "This was my first experience with Thumbtack and I was very pleased with Sylvain Marie, who responded very quickly to my request for someone to refinish an antique side table. I e-mailed some pictures of the piece as he requested and he soon responded with an estimate of the time required to repair and refinish a very battered table. He came exactly when he said he would to pick up the piece and returned it a few days earlier than I had told him I needed it. He stuck to his original estimate, but told me that if the job took less time he would charge accordingly. The table is now stunning and I am thrilled with his work and plan to hire him again for other refinishing of my antique furniture. I was especially impressed by his knowledge of wood types and methods of repair and also by the way he handled the old furniture with real gentleness and respect!"See more

Theresa J. says, "Needed Armoire door re-attached to its frame. The hinges broke. Contacted this company based on the good reviews. They immediately responded and said they would scheduled an appointment when I had the replacement hinges. I purchased the parts needed for the repair, called them back and arranged for a tech to be sent the very next morning. The tech arrived on time, was respectful, skilled and he repaired the door perfectly. My furniture functions as if I just bought it. The cost of the repair was affordable. I am completely satisfied with the knowledge and expertise of this company. I will not hesitate to use them again in the future if need arises."See more
