My daughter had the pleasure of taking voice lessons from Lucy Horton over the summer of 2014, in Bellevue, Washington. From the start, Lucy was well prepared and gave us thoughtful information to maximize our experience. I was impressed by her professionalism, and charmed by her ability to relate to both parent and teen. My daughter enjoyed learning many techniques of singing from this talented teacher, knowing that Lucy herself is a professional vocalist. I'm sure my daughter saw that Lucy's reality (creating a life around her passion for singing) could one day be the realization of her own dreams. Were it not for Lucy's move to the East Coast, we would continue with lessons indefinitely. Lucy is a lovely person to work with and we envy those who will now have that opportunity!

I have worked with Lucy in a variety of capacities. We were in music education classes together at UW, we have performed together, and recently I took over her music students when she moved to New York. Lucy is a PHENOMENAL teacher! I have seen her in large group settings, and I have observed her in her one-on-one lessons, and it is so evident that Lucy is not only a very attentive and engaging teacher, but that she cares a great deal about the students she is working with. Lucy is so much fun and so full of energy, she creates a really inviting and inspiring environment for students to work in. She not only knows her craft extremely well, but she is so good at explaining and guiding her students in very creative and understandable ways. Anyone would be so lucky to study with Lucy!

Lucy Horton is a fabulous person to work with! The lessons were at her house, and she taught me about vocal warm-ups, and range and a lot of other important things. I'm so so inspired by her optimism, I'm very glad I got to work with her. I definitely recommend her to anybody who is looking for vocal lessons! :)

My daughter attended Lucy's songwriting camp this past July. She had the most incredible experience! Lucy was a huge inspiration for all of the kids and they learned so much from her. She cannot wait to sign up for next year's session!

Working with Lucy has been so much fun. She mixes it up, for instance one day we will work on lyrics the next day we will work on notes. She also lets you pick the songs and fun things with the song like, I sang the cup song so we did the cup song and used cups. She is super encouraging and supportive I definitely recommend her voice lessons!
