This guy is extremely thorough and really knows his stuff. We were very impressed. Prior to inspection, we had made an offer on a house that we considered to be reasonable. However, when Lou came through the property, he really opened our eyes to the reality of the situation. We were so starry-eyed and emotionally involved in the home that we had failed to notice rotting support posts, faulty plumbing, and moisture and foundational issues. He explained everything to us in a polite and easy manner and was absolutely knowledgeable about every facet of that house. He literally left no stone unturned. Shortly thereafter, my husband and I walked away from the deal because we realized that buying that house was going to cost way more than we were prepared to spend. We payed Lou his fee gladly knowing that not consulting him would have cost us several thousand dollars - peanuts compared to what he charged us for his services and well worth every penny.

Lou drove out to Wyoming County to inspect my perspective home in July of 2014. This was outside his normal radius but he was more than willing to drive out with his wife.
The inspection process was very well done. Lou comes at the process with the goal of teaching and he does that while inspecting the home. The quality of the report was also top notch. I have been involved with several home inspections with family/friends over the past several years and none were done as well as Lou's.
My only mistake was not telling the home owner and real estate agents to expect a long inspection. Make sure to tell everyone to expect four hours or so for the inspection.

Mr. DiCioccio was very professional, promptly on time and very personable. He was very thorough in his inspection of the home and seemed very knowledgeable. Mr. DiCioccio took his time to explain and answer any questions or concerns I had to my satisfaction during the inspection of my home. "Perfection" was just what this inspection was. Lou look his time and inspected not only the major components of the home, but also the smaller parts that can give you problems too. Every question was met with a thorough explaination and he took the time to show us how everything worked and should be maintenenced and maintained. I look forward to receiving my report with color pictures today!
