What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I truly LOVE every part of this profession. Beginning with meeting all types of couples and learning who they are. We love individualism!! I love vendor meetings (especially with the florist) and creating something fabulous from one single idea. I love problem solving and thinking quickly. I love being creative and I just love all of the sweet memories that I get to witness being made. Each and every wedding is truly special to me and I often think of those special moments that I will never forget. I also love the wonderful reputation that I have worked so hard to achieve!

    I am so lucky to have been able to have Gabby and Matt coordinate our wedding and could not be happier with how everything turned out. Gabby went above and beyond what she had to do to make sure that everything was perfect for our day. She was there every step of the way and on the day of, I was calm, relaxed and excited because I knew we were in amazing hands. I had a vision of what I wanted the venue to look like, but also wanted Gabby to work her magic and bring it all together. When I first walked in, I was speechless and have received so many comments about how beautiful everything looked. I am so grateful to Gabby and Matt and could not have asked to work with two better people.

    When I first began to plan our wedding I had visions of glitz, glam and classic elegance. I knew I was creative and could handle a lot of the planning myself, but I also knew I would need help pulling everything together, checking my list twice and executing the wedding of my dreams. I also realized that the day of our wedding should be completely stress free for my husband and I and in that final week leading up to our big day the last thing I wanted to do was pull together vendor list, confirmations etc., etc., etc... With that said, I sought out the help of a professional wedding planner who could truly see my vision and help me bring it into reality. I had the chance to meet with a couple other planners in the Buffalo area and for lack of a better word they were boring and quite typical for this town...basically exactly what I wasn't looking for. I needed someone who was just as fabulous as myself and could handle the craziness a wedding can bring in the final month. So when I met Gabby I fell for her immediately! Gabby is such a beautiful person- inside and out! She went above and beyond her role as our month of coordinator. She is professional at ALL times, super personable, organized, punctual, thoughtful and full of AMAZING ideas! She has the connections and referrals you will need to take your wedding to the next level.     I worked with Gabrielle for about 9 months planning my September 13th wedding this year. We hit it off right away- Gabby is super personable, attentive, thoughtful and really listens to what you have to say in order to make your big day perfect. She was always great at communicating and being proactive throughout the whole planning process. I didn't really have a very clear vision for what I wanted for our wedding and Gabby helped me create one. The day before and the day of the wedding, Gabby and her partner Matt were there from beginning to end making sure everything ran smoothly. They were always quick to ask if there was anything we needed and were never obtrusive. Our wedding ceremony and reception went off without a hitch and I absolutely credit this to the amazing work by Gabby and Matt, in coordination with our venue. I couldn't have asked for a better day or experience and would 100% recommend Gabrielle and After 5 Events to everyone and anyone!

    Words cannot describe how happy I am that Gabby helped me plan my wedding! Without her, our wedding day would not have been nearly as wonderful as it was! I was the first of all of my family/ close friends to get married, and my family and I were clueless when it came to planning/ executing a "modern" wedding-- we started getting so stressed just thinking about where to begin, that nothing ever got done! Thank goodness we were referred to Gabby and hired After 5 Events to help us! Our venue was a bit "build from scratch", so not only did Gabby help us find the photographer, florist, etc. But she also helped us find literally everything else (chairs, tables, linens, etc). Our wedding day ended up being everything my husband and I ever dreamed it could be and MORE! A special thank you to her partner Matt for taking such good care of Steve, myself and all of our families throughout our wedding day! It was such a huge help that you were able to keep us to a time frame and take care of details so we could all enjoy the beautiful day. Thank you After 5 Events!

    Wedding planning is stressful, especially when you live 7 hours away from your venue. Before I hired Gabby, I spent a lot lof time wedding planning under extreme stress. If I'd been thinking, I would have just hired Gabby from the start. Instead, I hired her when I was overwhelmed at the idea of being the point person and the bride at my own wedding. She saved me! Who will put out the flowers? Gabby! Who will coordinate vendor arrival times? Gabby! What will make the wedding ceremony look just right? Ask Gabby! Who will clean up after the wedding? Gabby! The list goes on, but I must say that picking Gabby and After 5 Events as my wedding coordinator was one of my better decisions. Gabby is attentive, experienced, hires excellent interns, and she is enthusiastic. She's also creative, has an eye for aesthetics, and she rocks at making sure that your stress levels remain low! I wish I'd hired her before I'd done so much on my own, but I'm glad I got her when I did!

    After 5 Events is the best!!! They helped make the best day of our lives even more special and beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Throughout our whole wedding planning process, Gabby was there to guide us and meet with vendors, consistently checked in with us, and was always there when we needed her to answer questions or offer suggestions. She helped make our vision come to life in a way that I never could have done on my own. Most importantly, I always felt comforted and relaxed knowing that she was there for us.

    Gabrielle was such a pleasure to work with, she made my experience stress free and kept me on top of what needed to be done. If she was not there on my wedding day I'm not sure what I would have done. My day was perfect and if there was something that wasn't right I had no idea about it.     Gabby @after 5 events helped make my proposal and engagement party amazing. Her professionalism, ideas, and support made the evening something special. I came to her with a very broken idea, and she made it a reality by finding the perfect venue and making everything happen within my budget. I would recommend her to anyone planning an event even if they were prepared to do it on their own. This was by far the best service I could have asked for.

    After 5 Events transformed the event site into a magical place. Gabrielle Pagano incorporated the suggestions that were given to her with her experience and the results were fantastic! This was initially a 4-hour event turned into a 5-hour event due to the magic that the After 5 Events Team brought to the event site. Gabrielle Pagano and her team exercised great professionalism. She seamlessly coordinated the vendors and I didn't realize that she and her team were in the building and yet everything was taken care of before we had need to look for a team member. I would recommend After 5 Events to any organization or family who wants to minimize or remove the labor of hosting an event.

    Gabrielle helped me plan the perfect proposal and took care of ALL the tough details. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She took care of planning the location, the photographer, preparing my hotel room, and arranging all the small details. All this at a totally reasonable fee. It was peace of mind for me and made a nerve-racking experience so much smoother. Can't recommend her enough!

    I can not say enough good things about Gabby & Matt at After Five Events. They made my day run so smoothly and everything came out wonderfully. We had day of coordination services, but I felt as I had a full wedding planner all the way through. Gabby checked in with me each month and offered to help how ever she could. She made final calls to all vendors and made sure everyone was on track. She and Matt are highly professional & a joy to work with and honestly I hesitate to even use the word work as it wasn't work at all if that makes sense. My father in law was raving about how well they treated him and how well everything ran. They even successfully tackled a bustle on my dress from h*ll and did so with a smile. They helped coordinate everything from ceremony to our sparkler exit at the end of the night. Thanks to all their hard work I really got to enjoy our wedding day stress free. Thank you Gabby & Matt!!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advise a customer to go with your gut. You will be spending a significant amount of time with your wedding planner and it is important that you understand and trust each other. When you hire After 5 Events we basically become your new best friend! I would also make sure that your wedding planner is licensed and insured by their operating state (NY), and that you have a formal written contract. Lastly, sit back and relax. Your planner is there to make you feel stress free and pampered. Hiring a wedding planner allows you to enjoy every detail of your wedding day and feel like a guest at your own event!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish that customers realized truly how many hours go into planning a wedding. As the owner of a wedding planning boutique I literally work every single day early morning to late at night piecing your perfect day together. This doesn't even include the rehearsal, wedding ceremony, and reception. It is common for me to work 20 hours straight on a clients wedding day. It is what I love though so I am very happy to do it :)
