FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is straightforward — labor is quoted upfront before any work starts, and there are no surprise fees. Travel within 35 miles of Cohoes is free; longer drives are negotiable and add a small fee that we mention before scheduling. Parts (cables, antennas, drives, etc.) are billed at cost or with a small markup, and we always tell you what something costs before we install it. If a job ends up being simpler than expected, we charge less than the original quote — never more.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a quick conversation by phone, email or message to understand the issue. From there, we book an in-home visit or a remote session (whichever works best for the problem) and give you an honest quote upfront. On-site, we explain what we're doing in plain English as we go — no jargon, no rush. After the job, we follow up a few days later to make sure everything's still working the way it should.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mostly self-taught with a lot of hands-on practice helping family and friends with their tech over the years. Connor also completed coursework toward a CCNA (Cisco networking certification) at a local Job Corps center before it closed. We're upfront that we don't have a long list of certifications — but we know our limits, and if a job needs a licensed specialist (electrician, HVAC, security system), we'll tell you and recommend one.
