Cortney was an awesome personal trainer. I hired her to help me get in shape for my wedding, and she totally transformed my arms, legs, and overall physical endurance. Moreover she helped me completely boost my self-esteem and self-appreciation for my body. I had the pleasure of working with Cortney at Hudson Valley Peak Performance last week. She was very knowledgable and professional. I loved her whole person approach to health and wellness. She took the time to listen to my short and long term goals and discussed some recommendations to help me achieve those goals. Her focus on nutrition and self-care in additional to exercise was exactly what I was looking for and I appreciated the breadth of knowledge she offered. I had some muscle soreness from traveling and she walked me through some great stretches that gave immediate relief to the worst of the pain and my discomfort has improved immensely after following her advice for continued care. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?The first session is longer and includes more behind the scenes work so it does cost a bit more. You can purchase one off sessions or packages. I do four week packages at a discount because how we get the real work done!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Our first session is a learning experience. It tends to take a bit longer as we both start to learn about the other. I start on the goal setting process the very first day while I get your health history and as much of your story as you are comfortable sharing with me. From there I like to do a mini workout. When possible I like to keep each part to 30-45 minutes each so we get some good, informative conversation going as a base for our relationship and a good workout in. The workout serves to give me an even deeper insight into the work we will be doing in the days and months to come. It also gets to be a great launch point for your fitness routine!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes, I am constantly seeking new information to keep up to date in my training practices and so I may answer my clients questions more thoroughly or direct them to the correct resources.
