Oak Contracting replaced an exterior staircase for us that was severely rotted out from years of New York winters. After trying countless times to find a carpenter to complete this project, (no returned phone calls, no follow through to email inquiries, no shows, etc) I had begun to think there was no one left out there who was interested in doing "good business" anymore..
Anne and John proved me wrong. My inquiry was responded to immediately. An estimate was drawn up quickly. My hopes concerns were listened to and honored. I was consulted at every phase of the project. They showed up as scheduled, on time and began work immediately. (they didn't start the project and then leave it for weeks on end as a lot of contractors like to do..leave the customer hanging until they get around to it). John and Anne worked non stop and had the job completed as contracted.
Aside from their exceptional work ethic, the finished project is impeccable. They did an outstanding job. (and we are tough customers to impress). The work is exceptionally precise and clean. To all you folks out there who are looking for a skilled, professional carpenter, the folks at Oak Contracting do an outstanding job. The level of their skill and craftsmanship combined with their solid business practices stand out. I will absolutely hire them again.

Install new wainscot ceiling on enclosed porch. Stain new ceiling. replace rotted boards and paint porch floor. Install ceiling fan on same. John and Anne do great work, Extremely satisfied. Next project is to build new screen frames and install pet resistant screening.

My contractor was on time, cleaned up after his projects were completed and polite. If I need more work done in the future I will call on Oak Contractors again.

I am so pleased with the deck they did on my Dad's house it is just beautiful.
Great communication and they did the job so quickly and with great skill. I would highly recommend them for your next project.

John built new front steps to my house and installed porch lattice guards. Very professional, thorough, timely, and did great work! I will definitely have them back to do any other household contracting work I need.
