FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a thing for dogs. They give so much love and all they want in return is to be loved and protected. When I moved into the city I saw so many dogs! I thought if I got into the petsitting business I could spend time with dogs while getting therapy! Did you know that petting dogs is very therapeutic? It makes us feel calmer. That plus taking care of a dog for a few days is fun and I would love to share my home with any dog that needs caring for.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I can petsit for a max of a week. I bathe them and furminate them. I can administer their medicine if my client wishes. I feed them and play with them. I walk dogs in the few parks that are in my area so they have proper exercise. I even provide bowls and a dog a bed of my own if my client doesn't want to provide one.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for body language and the set up of the place your dog will be staying. Make sure that the sitter has taken care of the dangers that could harm your dog such as wires, small items they could choke on, or human food that should not be consumed.
