Jessica Ackerley Guitar Lessons

I am a professional female guitarist that provides lessons in the styles of pop, rock and jazz music as well as theory, arranging and composition. Lessons are given in a comfortable environment catering to student's levels and learning pace. I hold both a BACHELOR OF MUSIC DEGREE from St. Francis Xavier University (Canada) and a MASTER'S IN JAZZ PERFORMANCE from Rutgers University. I've toured across Canada, perform regularly in Canada and United States, and have recorded and released 4 albums as a band leader and sideman. My teaching and lessons are based on my student’s personal connection to the music rather than learning where to put their fingers on the strings. Having taught ages 6 to 65 from absolute beginners to the more advanced; I incorporate the sounds that most excite each student with fundamentals and techniques to provide a foundation of continuous progress.
