Working with Chris as a teacher has changed my life. I played guitar years ago and quit when I felt stuck and unable to progress. I wanted to find a teacher that would show me how to practice and play in a way that would lead to consistent improvement. I got all that and more with Chris! I've been taking lessons from him for a year now, and the amount I have improved blows my mind. Its not only technical expertise, music theory, and practice technique; Chris is a phenomenal teacher because he puts the art of music above all else. He has helped me overcome self doubt, helped me get in touch with my creativity, and helped me grow my confidence playing with other people. I feel like I have art back in my life. If you're thinking of picking up guitar, I cannot recommend him more highly. I'm profoundly grateful to have found him as a teacher!

So I have been working with Chris for about a month. I am an intermediate player who started taking lessons five years ago and struggled to have the "gaps" filled in terms of theory. Chris has done a remarkable job in filling those gaps and have made the process fun in my opinion. He's absolutely great to work with and I would recommend him to anyone.

Working with Chris is the best! His approach is a perfect balance between playing skills and learning about music theory/history. As a complete beginner, I've appreciated his pace, and I've been impressed by how far I've come after just 3 months of lessons. He helps you learn the music you want to play, but what has also been a great experience is allowing him to push the boundaries of my interests. I came in planning to learn a couple of pop covers, but he's got me listening to classic rock now like never before. He's an awesome teacher and a great guy. I can't recommend his lessons enough!
