I have witnessed Ziggy Johnston working with students of many different ages and skill levels - from beginners on the guitar in their very first lesson to collegiate students already playing at a high level.
Ziggy frequently demonstrates the ability to quickly identify the needs of a particular student, and address them in ways that are engaging, enjoyable, and productive for that student and their musical development. He is able to relate complex techniques and ideas in ways that are accessible, no matter the age or ability of the student. He is great at creating a learning environment in which his students feel relaxed. His students always seem comfortable to raise any questions they might have, which leads to a fun and congenial atmosphere. The students with which I have seen him work have seemed to greatly enjoy the lessons, and I can recommend him as a teacher for students of all ages.
