- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge a pre-disclosed fee for a 1-hour tutoring session, which will then be settled via a biweekly invoice. In addition to this, we offer a $10 referral discount to clients for every successful referral (no upper limit). Please feel free to reach out to us for details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
36 Test Prep specializes in a personalized tutoring experience to fit the individual needs of the client. We always begin by gaining a deep and clarified understanding of the student's strengths, weaknesses, and needs. If you have upcoming deadlines or exams, this would be important for us to plan our sessions as well. After this intake (which is typically conducted over phone or email), we will pair you up with one of our experienced tutors based on their expertise. The tutor will then begin scheduled sessions with the client based on their availability.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our tutors come from a range of fields of study, which we believe strengthens our ability to meet the client's needs. In addition perfect scorers on the SATs and ACTs, our tutors are also currently enrolled in pre-Law, pre-Med, and Economics programs at NYU. We also have TESOL certified tutors for language instruction. As NYU students, we believe our strengths lie in our familiarity with test prep and coursework, and our years of tutoring experience allow us to help any student achieve success.
