Introduction: I am a fitness coach with over 5 years experience in helping busy professionals gain muscle mass, lose body fat, and improve general fitness.  My approach to personal training is positive, fun and client-centric with a creative emphasis on weightlifting. Helping clients build sustainable results is the underlying motive of my training practice.  I am currently training in-person clients in Manhattan on the Lower East Side / East Village. If you have a gym in your building and live in Manhattan, we can discuss whether in-home training might be a good fit for you. Virtual sessions are also available for those who don’t live in Manhattan or simply prefer the convenience of in-home training. I hired Jackie 5 months ago for my mom. When I hired her, I was looking for someone that could motivate and help my mom with in-home training. My mom had bad knees, poor vision, and had been dealing with weight/eating problems for quite some time. She was reluctant to do personal training at first, but we eventually convinced her to at least do a consultation. The consultation went great. My mom said that Jackie was the one immediately and has been training with her ever since. Since then, my mom has noticeably lost weight, is moving much better and has said that a lot of her knee problems went away. She's much happier, and has much stronger willpower when it comes to her lifestyle. She also mentions being able to get to know Jackie on a personal level during their sessions has been a real pleasure. We couldn't be happier with hiring Jackie. She was exactly what we were looking for in a trainer and helped change my mom's life.

Training with Jackie has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. In the last year and a half, she's taken me from a total beginner, who couldn't do a single push-up, to a gym regular. Her coaching has completely changed my life - radically improving my body, diet, and self-confidence. Jackie is a patient and knowledgable teacher, customizing workouts to fit my needs and ability. She's an expert at pushing you forward at just the right pace - ensuring consistent improvement, but always careful to avoid the risk of burnout or injury. Jackie's workouts are always challenging, but also fun; she has a great sense of humor that makes our hourlong sessions fly by. Jackie's professionalism extends outside of the gym, too - she's highly responsive to fitness and nutrition questions over text/email throughout the week. She's always accommodating of my schedule, which includes a lot of work travel, and even provides "hotel room workouts" and virtual support so I can stay fit on the road. The gym itself is beautiful and spacious, with gorgeous natural lighting and clean, well-equipped showers and bathrooms. Jackie is the best of the best. If you're thinking about starting personal training, look no further - she's worth every cent and more!

She is a great trainer. Always so personable and very knowledgeable about personal training. She would demonstrate the moves and then correct me if I wasn’t doing the moves the right way.

I started training with Jacelyn in March. I was a D1 athlete a few years ago in college and I really wanted to regain some of my fitness. Jacelyn created awesome personalized workout plans that aligned with my fitness goals. The workouts were challenging, but she was always super careful to make sure my body felt good and not to overdo it. She is SO nice and really flexible with her schedule if you need to adjust any session times. I've worked with a fair number of trainers and Jacelyn is easily one of the best!
