Ive just started working with Henry and it’s exactly what I was looking for in a personal trainer. He takes time to get to know you and what your goals are and then tailors each session to your needs. After my first session I had never been so sore in my life, but knew this meant he would get me into shape. I've never worked with a personal trainer before, but I decided to try because I wanted to improve my overall endurance, flexibility and lose some weight, and I had struggled to sustain any sort of exercise regimen for longer than a couple of months on my own. Rather than try to get fit for a specific event or trip, I have a longer time horizon since I'm trying to develop good habits for the long term. I reached out to Henry after researching online and reading reviews, and after working with Henry for 3 weeks, I can say that it's been a very positive experience. A few things I like about Henry are his professionalism, responsiveness, punctuality, and experience. In terms of professionalism, he's very upfront about his expectations, and he strikes a good balance of pushing you without going so far as to put you at risk of injury. He's a patient teacher and changes course quickly if it looks like you're struggling with a particular exericse. He's always been responsive to text message and e-mail in between sessions, and he's always on time even if he has to commute. I had hoped a more experienced trainer would be more "beginner" friendly because experience means working with clients of varying ages, sizes, diets, and goals, and I was right. Henry doesn't try to push a specific diet or a specific workout regimen to everyone. Instead, he performs his initial fitness assessment and asks you about your diet, and he then tailors an exercise plan to fit your goals and encourages you to make incremental changes to your diet that are less extreme and therefore more sustainable. For me, he's taught me a dozen exercises so far, and once I get comfortable with an exercise, he adds on a new element to increase the challenge. For nutrition, rather than push me to cut out all carbs or not eat for 16 hours a day, we've set a more modest goal of cutting out all soda, limiting alcohol to no more than once day per week, and drinking more water. At some point, if I want to keep making gains, I'm sure I'll have to continue to make more positive changes to my diet, but I like this more gradual approach instead of an abrupt change. Overall, I can recommend Henry very highly, especially to anyone who like me has never worked with a personal trainer before due to being nervous about being pushed too hard, too quickly in terms of diet and exercise. Before I met Henry , I had been exercising since my 20s, always watching my proper nutrition and weight. When the Pandemic started in March it wasn’t easy to do my usual routine, obviously. I used to take 2-4 classes back to back, at the gym 5 days in week. Now I was stuck with no where to feel driven. I tried to exercise on Zoom, YouTube and alone by myself it’s not the same. I don’t feel the same motivation on remote classes. However, I realized that I needed a coach to help give me that extra edge, to get me back on my routine workout, and even get into better shape. I decided to work with Henry because it was clear that not only was he professional, knowledgeable and experienced, but he trains with utmost intensity and he has a tremendous talent to lead his clients to train at their peak levels. Henry always leaves me exhausted, flexed, and looking forward to the next session. I must say that I have never trained as hard in my life as I have with Henry – and the progress I feel right now is phenomenal. All you need is minimum space for an exercise mat, ZOOM on a Laptop/tablet/computer, an exercise mat and a pair of dumbbells. Pricing is per each 60-minute session, inclusive of travel to your home or office Personal Training Rates $80/hr online training. 1 session package $115/hour. 10 session package $1000 =$100/hour 20 session package $1800 = $90/hour One extra person $45 Payment plans are available.
