10/10, couldn't recommend highly enough. When I met Masaki, I had no idea what I was doing in regards to fitness, health. I thought I was doing some good stuff, but on that first day I told him "Wow - I remember what a good day of working out feels like!" I knew he was exactly what I was looking for. One of the reasons is his flexibility. We met at a location close to me - I wasn't ready to hit the gym so we stayed outdoors to start. He tailored my workout specifically to my needs, and we always met a location convenient for me (and he'll still be there early waiting for me). Then went it got colder, we started talking about heading into the gym. First time there in a while, and he had his plan as always, making me feel comfortable in a new space and confident about what I was doing there. He's SO knowledgeable about his work, but he's not going to intimidate you with data. If you want talk macronutrients & all that science stuff, he has you covered. If you're looking for a simple routine that you can follow to stay fit & healthy (more my style), he's there for you too. No matter what you're fitness goals are, I'm 100% positive Masa can help you get there. He's become a good friend during this time, encouraging, friendly. I look forward to my sessions with him because I know they will be impactful physically but also enjoyable.

I was suffering through depression & anxiety and getting out of bed and going to the gym seemed impossible. But Masaki motivated me by sharing his personal experience battling the very same. I was determined to follow in his footsteps. He was very accomodating to my schedule, finances, and "lack of skill". He never pushed too hard on making me do something I wasn't comfortable doing & he didnt try to "upsell" me. He also was willing to give me any advice through text/email, work a meal plan, and give me detailed workouts. I feel he is severely undercharging for the amount of hard work and effort he puts into his clients. I look forward to my next session and can't wait for me to get to his level (both mentally and physically!)

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have met Masaki and to have the opportunity to have him as my personal trainer. I have been working out with him twice per week for a little over 6 months now. I was one of those people who could have never seen myself working out at a gym, let alone hiring a trainer and having a consistent workout schedule. But when I met Masaki I felt very comfortable from the start and decided this would be the time to make the commitment to my health and start improving my life under his guidance. Every week I look forward to working out with Masaki and he does a great job with the customized workout plan and keeping track of my progression. He changes things up often enough to keep it interesting and fresh, and to ensure me and my body don't get too comfortable so that it never becomes routine and too easy. Throughout all of the sessions he is friendly and helpful, and under his watchful eye he is quick to correct any suboptimal form and is patient with me in areas where I may not be as strong. His personality and conversation allows for the sessions to move at a really comfortable pace and makes them a lot of fun. Masaki is very flexible and accommodating around my work schedule, and very punctual (always early!). He also does not watch the clock and does not end the workout until he feels it is truly over and we have both accomplished what we needed for the day. After my hospitalization Masaki was great at adjusting my workout plan to slowly bring me back into a routine, not pushing me too hard to slow down recovery but also not losing out on the progress I built up already. I truly felt he helped me get back on my feet faster and am thankful for that. I feel stronger physically and also feel like a different person at work and in general more confident thanks to my training with Masaki. I strongly recommend him for anyone getting started with personal training for the first time like me, or also anyone looking to get to the next level as he has a lot of knowledge, experience, and the right attitude to make it a success.

I've been training with Masaki twice a week for the past three months and I am really happy. I heard about him from a friend and decided to try him out since the price is very reasonable and my friend was happy. Masaki's workouts are great: rigorous, well planned and keep pushing me to work harder and achieve better and better results. I love the fact that there isn't a lot of standing around wasting time. I really appreciate that. Masaki has good a great personality, very humorous but definitely not in your face. He is always early for our sessions and is not they type of trainer who is watching the clock. He closely tracks my progress and comes with a workout plan that is modified at each session. He targets specific muscles and explains which muscles he is targeting. What is really great is that he trains alongside you; demonstrating clearly or doing an exercise with you so it's possible to model his technique. Masaki lives fitness: he is trained in the martial arts and avid runner of marathons including the New York City marathon in a very impressive time. I also really like that I can pick the location from a whole variety of gyms as my schedule changes. If I have to alter a time and he is free, he is always willing to accommodate this without any attitude. I think Masaki is really terrific because I am seeing results in my overall health and the price is right!
