I could not have had a better experience with Mohammed. He was straight forward, punctual, professional and, most importantly, did a beautiful job hanging my gallery wall. He came to my apartment with all of the necessary tools and, despite my very hot un- air conditioned living room, worked very hard to complete my project. I even asked him to frame one of the pieces he was hanging. He took it to his shop in Manhattan, did a beautiful job framing it and even messengered the piece to me for free. He is a very experienced professional and I highly recommend him.

He wanted to be paid upfront and would not accept cash...who won't except cash. Really? Hanging pictures is NOT the kind of job you pay an unknown person upfront. So, I blew off him/Thumbtack and went and went to TaskRabbit. I found someone better and for less money.

David, I do not accept cash because I require payment upfront. Payment upfront means I am do not get the job done and not get paid. You stated I should charge after the work is done like another competing web site to this one. On that site, you will have a credit card on file and pay hourly. On this site, you do NOT have a card on file and thus I have no way of collecting Why is that a problem?
I am one person small business trying to make a living and feed my family. You have no right to give me negative feedback if you did not go ahead with the transaction. This does not reflect my work at all. Just because you are some media big shot broker does not give you the right to hurt my small business over you not having your way and making you accept terms I do not feel comfortable with. This is very unfair and very selfish on your part.
I work very hard and keep all my customers happy. I have been doing this for over 22 years. Your stated reason was that you did not know who I am. I sent you this message and I was very cordial about it:
