Introduction: When you think about it, you realize that we spend most of our lives in buildings. Well-managed buildings are better places to live and work. Building managers who remember that the buildings they manage are, in the final analysis, where people live their lives, have a larger view than building managers who only concern themselves only with the fact that building’s are businesses. The most effective building managers remember both facts. At UPB having a larger view is the foundation of our approach. We think it’s a more subtle approach than is typically expected from building managers. UPB Management was founded by Mr. Saul Bardosh and Mr. Philip Metzidakis, two men with deep real estate experience. Between them Mr. Bardosh and Mr. Metzidakis have built buildings, renovated buildings, sold buildings, leased buildings, financed buildings, and operated buildings. In their careers each came to realize that their businesses were based, above all else, on relationships of trust forged over years. When they met they discovered their shared sensibility, and realized that together they could create a company that reflected their values. The approach is really very simple: never forget that companies are collections of people, that buildings are where most of our lives are lived, and that superior service engenders a successful enterprise.
