About

As a parent, I found JP very responsive. He analyzed my son's previous SAT scores and determined where he needed to focus. He gave regular progress reports. He gave an accurate assessment as to what my son could achieve and he was correct. My son's scores went up considerably in a short period of time. Even though the tutoring was through Skype, it was very affective and convenient. I would highly recommend JP as an SAT tutor.

Sasha was a very punctual and effective tutor! I have not taken a formal math class in six years and she was able to help me develop a plan to re-familiarize myself with the necessary formulas and strategies. She helped me improve my score on my practice tests by 6 points and helped me ultimately achieve my desired score of 150 in the quantitative section.

About

I wanted to find a tutor who could help me get as close to a perfect score on the SAT as possible. When I first found Dr. Fikar I was overwhelmed with his credentials, and wasn't sure if he would be down to earth as a teacher. To my delight, I found him to be not only an amazing SAT Teacher, but also more like a mentor to me. He gave me great academic advice, and in the end, convinced me to take both the SAT and the ACT. My SAT score went from the mid 1600's to a 2230. I also took the ACT and my score went from a 28 to a 33. I got accepted into my top choice of colleges, and I know it was because of the excellent instruction I received from Dr. Fikar. He was able to push me to my maximum potential, and for that I would highly recommend him to anybody who wants to get the best results on these tests.

Crimson Scholars absolutely saved me last week while I was cramming for a Calc midterm I was wholly unprepared for. Frank, a Harvard graduate, is a young, whip smart tutor who spent nearly 15 online hours with me within less than 3 days. He was patient with my neurosis, encouraging, and fun. Most importantly, Frank is an incredible teacher. Thank you, Huen and Frank for accommodating me! I will be back in late Nov/Dec for my final... but with a bit more time to prep!

About

Out of all the SAT tutors that I had over a 2-year period (all from various Ivy League schools), Jim was undoubtedly the best at explaining difficult concepts in the simplest terms. He was also the most patient and encouraging. Jim consistently went above and beyond to ensure that my questions get resolved. I am extremely grateful and fortunate to have had Jim as my tutor. I would highly recommend Jim!

About

My name is Murat. I have a degree in mathematics from Cornell and a score of 1570 form the old SAT. I also have a score of 800 on the GRE math and a score of 670 on the GRE verbal section. I have a lot of experience teaching many different subjects, and I am a very patient teacher. I love explaining concepts and trying to get students to really understand math topics, rather than just trying to get people to memorize shortcuts. My clients range from elementary school students trying to understand basic concepts to high school students struggling with algebra or the SAT. Whatever the level of the student, I love helping them really understand the concepts involved at a deeper level and getting them to actually enjoy math.
