- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have worked with people for a long time. I am a pastoral councellor, coach, and am working toward my psychology masters - and I have OCD. 3 years ago my Dr wanted me on mind numbing drugs that would have ended my life. I would have been alive, but not living. Today I am enjoying a vibrant, exciting life, getting the most out of every moment.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A coach can help a person take charge of their life and overcome years of hardships, problems, and pain. It takes only 6 - 18 months in most cases. It is a highly trained skill. Make sure you hire an accredited coach through ICF. A counsellor or theraphist is 'not' a qualified coach.
