Serge is an amazing teacher!! My training experience with him was awesome--he's such a good actor that he makes you feel like you're such a hardcore (as if you're a main character in the action movie) when he got attacked! The whole class was fun fun fun yet I've learned a lot--from basic defense techniques to some very useful escaping tricks. I feel so much more confident and stronger just after two classes so far. I'll definitely stick with him and get myself where I always wanted to be--a real hardcore and fearlessly face whatever situation.
Evis did an excellent job engaging our women's only kickboxing class our facility hosted. He was very attentive with our attendees and had them focused and engaged. They were raving about he class afterwards, and are looking forward to the next one. Not only was it an excellent work out, but they had fun too!
Andre was very professional and communicative. He understood what I wanted and tailored a self defense training class that fit my needs. During the class, he was thorough, but he also kept the language and technique easy to understand. We learned a lot in a short amount of time and walked away with knowledge and confidence. I've been working with Ed for 2 months now. He is awesome, he's very knowledgeable and a great teacher. The training secessions have gone so well I now have my son training with Ed. I HIGHLY recommend Ed to anyone looking to learn self defense, MMA, etc.

I have been working with Daryl for about a month now. I hired him to help me loose weight and tone so I wont end up with sagging skin or a flat butt. He comes to me three times a week for mostly strength training and has instructed me to do cardio on three other days when I am not scheduled to see him. I am very pleased with the relationship we are building because I was a little nervous at first finding someone I would feel comfortable with. Daryl is very friendly yet gentlemanly and I never feel awkward around him. He has a good sense of humor which helps when your as uncoordinated and unbalanced like I am. I originally hired him to give me motivation to get me focused but now Hes so much more. I can do pushups!!! A month ago, when he did my evaluation, I couldn't even finish 3. Now, I can do 5 sets of 10 with about a 2 minute break in between each set. It may not sound like much but for me this is huge. I've never had upper body strength in my life and have been very out of shape and inactive for years. Daryl pushes me and keeps me focused but not in an overbearing kind of way. I would recommend him to others and am planning on putting my 9 year old in his boxing classes. I feel very happy and accomplished because of him and I'm very excited to see what the future holds for my body. Other things that are probably important to note is he is very reliable and usually flexible if you have an emergency. He works with me for everything. He is patient but doesn't let you slouch. Lol. And he has given me diet instructions to help along. I really can not tell you how much of me has changed in just a month. I dont really have any concerns at this point. All around great guy, great trainer. ?
We can't explain how happy we are that we found Mike A. as a personal trainer. -He's affordable -His hours are flexible He's very skilled -He trains in an easy-to-understand style -He's very upbeat and professional Our son took an interest in fighting so we went the normal route of school wrestling, boxing gym, Jui Jitsu classes which were all good. But he got bored with the same old large class rhythmic training. We then found Mike and have been using him one on one for the past 4-5 months, and with the progress and confidence our son shows, we know we made the right choice. DEFINITELY a 5-star trainer.

You never know what you're going to be doing, so you won't get bored! It is guaranteed to be a great workout and you will be drenched when you're done! I am a 60+ year old man that had a serious accident in 2006 and thought my athletic and physical life was over. After my accident I couldn't raise my arms above my head. I would go to the gym to try and get my mobility back, but saw little progress. Three years ago I met Richie Smyth and asked for his help. It wasn't overnight, as Richie had warned me, but today I can swim again, swing a golf club, and most importantly, lift moderate weights. I will never fully have the athletic ability I used to, but I have my life back, I can smile again, and I can't thank Richie enough for what he has done for me. AND we are still amazingly enough making progress:))
I attended my first small group fitness class at Vargus Fitness in February 2012 and haven’t stopped going since. The owner, Mike, is very knowledgable regarding exercising and what you should be doing versus what you should not be doing. I’ve never felt intimidated or uncomfortable while being there but rather strong and confident. The workouts are intense and you ALWAYS feel like you’re getting the workout of your life. You will definitely feel every bone and muscle in your body getting a full workout. The classes and his personal training sessions change on a daily basis and the best part is these classes are universal in that they are appropriate for a beginner in the fitness world or someone who’s been working out for some time. I also really like the motivation the staff provides and they never let you slack off. The staff focuses on every person individually throughout the class and will provide you with guidance/assistance/corrections on any exercises you may find difficult or that you may be doing incorrectly. Additionally, in the 2 years I’ve been attending Vargus Fitness, all of the other clientele I’ve met have been nothing but nice, fun and motivating as well. We push each other to higher limits and enjoy calling each other out if one of us falls short on an exercise. If you’re more interested in the one on one training, there are also personal training classes available. Again, similar to the boot camp classes, the personal training is just as intense and the staff can accommodate your workout to your specific needs.
I've been studying FMA under Guro Alex for about 8 months. He not only helped me reconnect with FMA, but because of his background in fitness, has also shown me exercises to complement the martial arts training. If you are looking for an effective self-defense class but require a physical fitness element to complement that training, then I highly suggest you seek Guro Alex.

Ive always been into lifting and exercising through my life. I'd work really hard with not a lot of guidance, which I figured I didn't need. I mean how hard can lifting, and exercising be on your own? I only pushed myself so hard, and found myself settling with current results which were not anything worth showing off. Until, I decided to take a few sessions through Next Level Boxing and Fitness with Dave. The guy is super cool and forces you past your expected physical limits. I was skeptical at first but he's opened my eyes and gave me A LOT of confidence in myself. I am super satisfied with what i am instructed to do. It never gets boring either, whether it's an interval workout, boxing workout, or just a light workout to get the blood flowing. I've never felt as good as I feel now. I wish this review gave this personal trainer the credit he deserves.
