Russ is a phenomenal instructor providing exceptional value in a city where affordable tennis instruction is unheard of! I've been taking private and semi-private lessons with Russ for years and what amazes me the most is that he can always spot precisely what in your body movement is creating an undesirable outcome. He's also very informed about specific techniques used by all the superstar tennis pros from the last 30 + years and he'll help you incorporate techniques most suitable to your style of playing. Russ can teach anyone from a complete beginner to a seasoned pro and the process never feels intimidating. On a side note, the court where Russ teaches is located a 3 minute walk from the subway in a beautiful park, making it not only convenient to get to but also a pleasure to spend time on.

Russ is not only a fantastic tennis player but also a fantastic teacher. He actually takes the time to watch and analyze techniques used by the pros and helps his students incorporate these techniques into their own tennis arsenal. He's great at helping you build on your strengths as well as challenge yourself with new approaches.

Russ is a pro with over 30 years of teaching experience and it shows. He's able to pin down exactly what can be improved about your technique and guide you through modifications that will transform your game. I highly recommend him to players at all levels. The courts he teaches on are located in a beautiful setting and are very well maintained. His rates are very affordable as well.

Russ is an amazing teacher! I have nothing but praises for him. He is extremely thorough and patient (which is necessary to deal with me) with his teachings. My ground strokes and overhead smash have improved tremendously. If you are new to tennis or want to just improve on your game book a lesson with Russ.
