FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are flexible depending on the client's needs and budget. Basic rate for shooting with 1 camera is $800/day or $450/ half day. More complex equipment, additional crew or more complicated set-ups are additional. Shooting a 1-2 hr. performance with 1 camera would be $450 plus transportation. Editing a 5min. video runs between $360 and $1200 ($60./hour.) I sometimes make concessions for non-profits and personal projects. Please only contact me if you find these rates acceptable, and describe your project in as much detail as possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk early on, meet in person if possible to develop a plan. I’ll offer ideas to enhance the production, scout the location if possible. I share the files with the client within a day or 2 to view right away. After uploading a first draft edit, I'll revise according to the clients notes or sit with them and refine the edit as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA, NYU Tisch School of The Arts in Film/TV. Trained with some of the world's leading documentary filmmakers. 2 EMMYs -one for producing on a WNET series and one for editing a national children's series. A documentary I edited was nominated for an Oscar.
