About
My name is Max aka Frame Gretzky, and I am a cinematographer located in New York. I have been full time for about 8 years and love every minute of it. I started off filming just music videos back in 2017, and slowly learned it doesn't matter what I'm filming, as long as I'm filming. I truly enjoy just having a camera in my hand and trying to make an image become a memory. There is something special in being able to record a moment in time.
My specialty is music videos, but I have also filmed weddings, short films, commercials, interviews, events, etc. Although music videos are my specialty, I've had clients in the past book me for other types of films just because of my music video background. Quality is always my first priority, and my second priority is trying to make the shot more unique than the typical way of filming it. I always like to hear the clients point of view as well. Sometimes they need it filmed a certain way or like a certain style. I'm always open to other peoples opinions and just want the client happy with the shot.
I record with a RED Gemini S35 which is a top of the line cinema camera. I also have a drone, 360 camera, vhs style camcorder, lighting gear, and other tools to help make everything come to life. I do all my own editing as well and turn around time is very quick.

Max is literally amazing!!! I filmed my first music video all on my phone and he was able to edit/put all the clips together. He made it look so professional. He really worked with me, when it came to how to send the videos. I was struggling to find an editor at the right price. Everyone wanted $350 or better. But Max was completely reasonable. We didn't even have to negotiate a price. I would highly recommend him!!🔥🔥🔥

Max was great to work with. His attention to detail is one of a kind. The RED camera looks absolutely amazing too. You cant beat the quality of that camera. He did a great job bringing my vision to life, and I’m excited to work with him in the future. Thanks again!!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My filming prices vary depending on the size of the project. My starting rate for filming is $100 an hour. Edit pricing depend on the length of the edit, effects needed, and delivery time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer I like to get an idea of the size of the project and the style. I ask for a full run down of what they are looking to accomplish, as well as any references that would help me visually. I understand some people are looking for a certain style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had no official training, everything was self taught. My whole life has kind of been like that. Once I fall in love with something, I almost feel like I have to master it on my own. I'm a self taught drummer and music producer, so for me to learn all this was relatively easy. I've been filming for 10 years, so learning on the job has been huge for me as well.
