Matt Pokorny

Introduction: I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska and first studied digital film production in Dublin, Ireland. It was there where I gained my first professional experience editing numerous projects that were close to a news-like format. I then came to New York to further my career by attending Brooklyn College to study documentary film and to be in one of the great centers of creativity. As a documentary filmmaker, I have become familiar with every aspect of the storytelling process. I am energized by the hunt for a story, capturing it on camera and ultimately crafting the project into completion when editing. While my work has been heavily in documentaries, I currently work for WSJ Live, the video content generated for The Wall Street Journal. I like to work, and once our last live show is over, I'm hungry for more, wanting to add my current experience. I seek a diverse range of projects, from advertising and video for apps to editing for TV, short and feature films.
