Benjamin Holcomb has been playing drums professionally for 17 years, teaching drumset lessons for 14 years. Benjamin is the drummer in Lucky Chops, touring and recording with the band since 2021 and has experience playing in headliner shows, festivals, wedding bands, and jazz bands. Benjamin has a background in jazz, funk, rock, bluegrass, brass music, pop, and theatre music. Benjamin teaches all levels of drumming, having experience teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Benjamin focuses on teaching sticking technique, rudiments, drum grooves/exercises, reading music, learning music by ear, transcribing, and audition preparation. Benjamin is more than willing to work on whatever the student is looking to accomplish on the drumset. Benjamin teaches both in-person and remote. He offers 15% discounts for returning students following first lessons.

Ben is an excellent teacher! I can't believe how much I was able to learn in just one session. He is really good at noticing when something isn't working and will quickly readjust and personalize teaching techniques.
