My goal is to get you feeling in sync with your environment. Together we'll establish systems which ring true to your habits and preferences, and which make tidying up easier and more enjoyable in the future. Whether you’re seeking help decluttering, support in thinking through and executing your ideas, need help balancing an awkward space, or would like someone else to unpack you in your new home, I’m here to help. For others, shelving etc must be acquired or built. I’m happy to do both Low Purchase Projects (we can fold reusable bags over to become shirt bins) or Full Fresh Projects (we can select smartly sized and matching bins and labels) or somewhere in between (do what we can, buy what we Must). For projects needing custom builds, heavy installation, lighting install, etc I work closely with a reliable contractor. MINIMUM SESSION: 3hrs if commenced with inquiry message, 5hrs if using AUTOBOOK feature PROCESSES For Clutter Detangling For sorting out knots in your home we - pick a zone to tackle first - prune, purge, categorize - organize what remains, put things away - shop for or design whats missing (i’ll give you an exact, link-filled shopping list, or else a shopping guide with measurements and suggestions, or else drawings and management for custom shelving fabricated by a close collaborator) - finish putting away when all has arrived For Move Ins To move you in, you can be as involved or detached as you prefer. We can either unpack and plan and shop collaboratively, or, you can give me just a broad overview of what you’re imagining, and then press “play” and get back to your other work while I set up your home. I can also help you on the packing side, to prune/purge/prepare for your move in. In addition to arranging and organizing, I can help you manage projects like lighting hardwiring, fabrication of custom built ins, etc, with the help of reliable, licensed contractor collaborators. HISTORY I've been organizing my friend’s rooms compulsively since the age of 12! This is an everlasting spatial fixation of mine, which in 2022 I've decided to professionalize. I have endless energy for and a deep delight in this kind of work, so I’ve put up a turbine where the wind was already blowing. I have a Masters of Science in Social and Somatic Factors in Design, which is to say I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about and furniture and the social dynamics of space. BUILDING I work closely with a reliable contractor / handyman who is able to do electrical, heavy installation, shelving, custom closet install, etc. I'm also able on my own to install simple shelving, assemble furniture, move large furniture, and hang heavy pictures and mirrors. EMOTIONS I’m here for whatever emotions might arise in your clutterletting, your relinquishing of Stuff. Sometimes the process is easy, and the mere presence of an organizer makes letting go swift. Other times, the process is more involved, stirring up emotions, memories, and complicated feelings about what it means to let go. I'm here to meet your mode and accompany whatever this process is for you. ERGODYNAMICS My MS at Berkeley focused on ergodynamic design; design which helps rather than hinders circulation (social and physical). To this end I offer consultation and shopping guides for movement-oriented work and living spaces.

EJ was kind, thoughtful and resourceful with organizing our storage unit. There were boxes from floor to ceiling and she carefully, but quickly, took each box out and sorted through. The end result was better than what we had envisioned. Thank you, Space Doctors, for all you do!!

If you are looking for someone to help you organize, look no further and hire Space Doctors immediately! EJ was absolutely incredible to work with. I hired her after a challenging move into an apartment that presented significant organizational challenges. EJ is a really gifted organizer. She provided very hands on assistance, helping me to unpack and organize what I was keeping and to purge what I did not need in every room in my apartment. She also is bright, personable and enjoyable to work with. I really can’t say enough good things. Plus, the proof is in the pudding. A few weeks after she helped me, I am able to find and put away things, because EJ provided a logical and workable approach to my apartment, finding a place for everything in every room.

Where to begin as I sit in my cozy functional room! EJ is a shining star! I didn’t know where to begin but she is a real Space Doctor indeed. I sought organizing services after I had let my clutter get a wee bit out of hand. From the beginning she helped to focus on my goals and what made the most sense for me. She approaches all her clients with warmth as she knows this can be difficult and personal. I had much anxiety and feelings of shame with the amount of things I let pile up. Who knows what’s in these piles! No shame in reaching out for help to make your daily life more functional, and I’m very glad I did. Once EJ is helping you all these thoughts immediately evaporated and I felt at ease. Especially if you don’t know where to begin- making an appointment counts as the beginning step. Even when we changed our mind about a couple things in my room EJ helped me to never give up hope. We could always hit the drawing board and rework it out.Especially knowing that once The Sytems are in place then I can avoid physical and the mental clutter that comes with. Can’t recommend hiring EJ enough . She is a real pro and the hardest worker in town. My mind thinks in terms of what system will work best for me now and I’m very grateful I did this for myself. I’m looking forward to following EJ as she grows her business along with her other endeavors:)
