Serge is an amazing teacher!! My training experience with him was awesome--he's such a good actor that he makes you feel like you're such a hardcore (as if you're a main character in the action movie) when he got attacked! The whole class was fun fun fun yet I've learned a lot--from basic defense techniques to some very useful escaping tricks. I feel so much more confident and stronger just after two classes so far. I'll definitely stick with him and get myself where I always wanted to be--a real hardcore and fearlessly face whatever situation.
Evis did an excellent job engaging our women's only kickboxing class our facility hosted. He was very attentive with our attendees and had them focused and engaged. They were raving about he class afterwards, and are looking forward to the next one. Not only was it an excellent work out, but they had fun too!
Andre was very professional and communicative. He understood what I wanted and tailored a self defense training class that fit my needs. During the class, he was thorough, but he also kept the language and technique easy to understand. We learned a lot in a short amount of time and walked away with knowledge and confidence. Ive always been into lifting and exercising through my life. I'd work really hard with not a lot of guidance, which I figured I didn't need. I mean how hard can lifting, and exercising be on your own? I only pushed myself so hard, and found myself settling with current results which were not anything worth showing off. Until, I decided to take a few sessions through Next Level Boxing and Fitness with Dave. The guy is super cool and forces you past your expected physical limits. I was skeptical at first but he's opened my eyes and gave me A LOT of confidence in myself. I am super satisfied with what i am instructed to do. It never gets boring either, whether it's an interval workout, boxing workout, or just a light workout to get the blood flowing. I've never felt as good as I feel now. I wish this review gave this personal trainer the credit he deserves.
He is very thorough while teaching Muay Thai, explaining how and why fighting stance, blocks, punches and kicks are done. My schedule isn't always static and he's very accommodating. Pays attention to if you're getting fatigued or if you still have a little more in the tank when deciding breaks. Good conditioning and stretches. Excellent personal trainer and would definitely recommend.
We can't explain how happy we are that we found Mike A. as a personal trainer. -He's affordable -His hours are flexible He's very skilled -He trains in an easy-to-understand style -He's very upbeat and professional Our son took an interest in fighting so we went the normal route of school wrestling, boxing gym, Jui Jitsu classes which were all good. But he got bored with the same old large class rhythmic training. We then found Mike and have been using him one on one for the past 4-5 months, and with the progress and confidence our son shows, we know we made the right choice. DEFINITELY a 5-star trainer.
I have been working out with Jane for three years. Over this time our one on one has given me more strength, flexibility, shaped my body and even lost weight. I hate to exercise. Jane makes it fun especially when I know I will ride to get my Dunkin (coffee only) after the work out. There are times I just need to stretch and we do that . However, Jane always throws in those abs because if you don't use it you lose it! I have found Jane to be a delight compared to gyms and group classes, of which I have done them all without results. Getting a personal workout to fit your schedule, preferences and gently pushed to do the things you wouldn't on your own has made a considerable difference. It is wonderful to have your clothes fit and be limber and good in general. Thanks Jane for putting up with all my moaning and complaints that Dunkin coffee isn't part of the work out. ​- Adele
I can't say enough about Curtis!! I am a 35 yr old female ex college athlete and wanted to get in shape for my wedding. Not only did Curtis get me in tip top shape for my big day- he had me in better shape than I was as a college athlete. The transformation from start to finish was shocking he knew we could do it but I wasn't sure because I was older I would do anything to have had the opportunity to work with him when I was training in college. I am a 60+ year old man that had a serious accident in 2006 and thought my athletic and physical life was over. After my accident I couldn't raise my arms above my head. I would go to the gym to try and get my mobility back, but saw little progress. Three years ago I met Richie Smyth and asked for his help. It wasn't overnight, as Richie had warned me, but today I can swim again, swing a golf club, and most importantly, lift moderate weights. I will never fully have the athletic ability I used to, but I have my life back, I can smile again, and I can't thank Richie enough for what he has done for me. AND we are still amazingly enough making progress:))

I met Dmitry from Mutual friend that highly recommended him i have to say they where right on the money .Dmitry highly knows his stuff and is there to make u put in that work ive had about 13 classes with him and have lost about 20 pounds and i dont think i would have done it without Dmitry. Clare is a knowledgeable professional who finds out your goals beforehand. Her background allows her to address any health concerns, prior injuries, etc. She makes her kick boxing class fun and inviting. She practices what she preaches and she listens to your individual needs to maximize your time and energy. I'm so happy to have a workout that I enjoy doing and it works all my muscles. The hour goes super quick and I look forward to learning all the moves she teaches. DEFINITELY would recommend her class or personal training. You won't be disappointed.
I attended my first small group fitness class at Vargus Fitness in February 2012 and haven’t stopped going since. The owner, Mike, is very knowledgable regarding exercising and what you should be doing versus what you should not be doing. I’ve never felt intimidated or uncomfortable while being there but rather strong and confident. The workouts are intense and you ALWAYS feel like you’re getting the workout of your life. You will definitely feel every bone and muscle in your body getting a full workout. The classes and his personal training sessions change on a daily basis and the best part is these classes are universal in that they are appropriate for a beginner in the fitness world or someone who’s been working out for some time. I also really like the motivation the staff provides and they never let you slack off. The staff focuses on every person individually throughout the class and will provide you with guidance/assistance/corrections on any exercises you may find difficult or that you may be doing incorrectly. Additionally, in the 2 years I’ve been attending Vargus Fitness, all of the other clientele I’ve met have been nothing but nice, fun and motivating as well. We push each other to higher limits and enjoy calling each other out if one of us falls short on an exercise. If you’re more interested in the one on one training, there are also personal training classes available. Again, similar to the boot camp classes, the personal training is just as intense and the staff can accommodate your workout to your specific needs.
