I initially wrote this review for their Scarsdale location, but the work HomeSquare's done for me was all in Greenwich, CT. The folks at HomeSquare are absolute life-savers. I'm a new homeowner who has a more than modest list of things to fix around the house. And I'm definitely not equipped to do most of them myself.Dave and Christian have been a godsend for me and my wife: instead of trying to find plumbers, painters, electricians, and carpenters through the woodwork in a brand-new town, we give Marta at HomeSquare a call and we were in business. These guys go above and beyond--helping us with fixes and emergency calls without so much as a frown. I'm thrilled we found them.

I had five small to medium repair jobs to be done. Keith at Home square walked me through the various repairs explaining how they would be handled. He was very polite and professional. He gave me an excellent quote on the cost. Gary, the handyman came the next business day. He was a very friendly, humorous guy. He worked fast and efficiently. His workmanship was impeccable. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of service provided by both men, and especially the cost. Gary finished the work in less time that estimated and save me addition $300 on the job. In total, the cost of Home Square's service saved me $2,000 over a quote from another well known contractor.

The best decision I ever made was to get in touch with Homesquare when I was selling my house. Less than a week before closing there was a leak over the kitchen sink. I reached out to different plumbers and roofers. No one could find the problem.I reached out to homesquare and Fernando arrived the next morning. He was professional, and clear thinking...He is experienced in all manner of home projects. His approach, eliminate what can be eliminated and the rest is just work. He told me he wasn't leaving without fixing the issue.He found the leak - which ironically was in front of the hole punched in the ceiling by the last plumber I called and who couldn't see the issue.He fixed the leak and repaired all drywall, repainted the fixed areas. The big storm in early August tore the top off of a giant tree close to our hose and sent it stabbing through a number of parts of our roof and into a, hall, causing a lot of structural damage and making a mess. When the mess , tree debris, and the rest of the tree were removed, we called HomeSquare. Paul Mignone came immediately and gave us a detailed and very professional estimate of what a full replacement and repair would involve. That was accepted by our insurance immediately, and Paul's team went to work over the next week or so making us whole and in many ways better than before - and doing the work in the least disruptive and obtrusive way possible, given the extent of what was needed -- and cleaning up after each day. I've never worked with anyone doing this sort of reconstruction who was as immediately responsive to questions and as efficient overall. He and his team are quite remarkable really and I wish there were more stars to offer.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For several hours of handyman work, we charge $115 for the first hour and $90 after that. For clients with at least a couple of days worth of work, it's economical to take advantage of our FlexPlans (see our website for details) which offer discounted rates when hours are purchased in bulk. And for larger projects like remodels, we're happy to give fixed bids. All estimates are free.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If you have a few different projects at your house, we typically will schedule one of our team to come out and assess everything. This is to give you a free estimate and ensure there are no surprises. Some clients have simpler projects and are eager for the work to begin asap; we're happy to accommodate that arrangement as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has tons of experience, both broad and specific: - several E1-licensed electricians on staff - many handymen technicians with a range of skills - remodeling experts with decades of experience (going back to 1978!) - HIC licenses in both Westchester County NY and Connecticut
