Faythe A. says, "Through Thumbtack, I had hired Hillbilly Barter and Trading Company to refinish my farmhouse dining room table. They refinished the table but returned it with extremely wobbly legs. They refused to fix it so I went through thumbtack again to find a handyman who could repair it. As shown in the attached photos, Hillbilly barter and Trading hadn’t fully screwed in the legs, had splintered some of the wood and done a shoddy job overall. I found John and his company through Thumbtack. John showed up promptly at 9 and spent several hours replacing screws, adding additional screws etc. He took the extra steps to make sure that the legs supported the table and that there was absolutely no wobbling or weaknesses in the structure. That kind of professionalism and dedication to doing the best possible job is so nice to find. Too many contractors rush through the work and are more interested in getting paid than doing a thorough and complete job. I highly recommend John because I know he’ll be meticulous about any work he’s contracted to do. I’ll certainly be asking for his help in the future with anything I need help with. We’ve already discussed landscaping and painting. Thank you John for the extra effort and a job well done. Kudos to you!"See more
