Introduction: We like to think that we do outstanding kitchen and bathroom renovations. But really, we specialize in satisfied customers. The real key for us is to take the time in the early planning stages to listen to the goals and ambitions that the client has for the pending renovation. It is important to us that at the end of your remodel you feel that we have genuinely delivered what you requested. And I guess we do. Many of our clients do not hesitate to call us back for the next renovation project. And they also refer us with confidence to their friends, neighbors and relatives. We have a number of clients that have been using our services for 10+ years. Our current longest term relationship has spanned over 22 years so far. The smile and look of satisfaction on the face of a pleased client when the project is finished. That's what tells us we have done our job well.

My family and I have been using Cook contracting for roughly 10 years, possibly longer. They have done a kitchen, a bath, ceilings, and some other work as well. I have always been very pleased with the all the work they do. John has quite the artistic eye, and it really pays to have him get creative, the siding job they did on our house has great elements John did on the fly. I have always recomended them to everyone I know in the area. Not only have I been happy with all the work they did, but I have regretted everytime I have had to use soemone else. Those were due to Scheduling issues or when it is something out of their areas of expertise.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Primarily kitchen and bath remodels and recently concrete counter tops. Many clients will ask us back for other work such as additions, decks and general carpentry. Established clients can request handyman services.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

References and insurance verification. Not all contractors offer references or proof of insurance up front. But any qualified considerations should be able to provide the names of a few past clients and insurance certificates. Call at least 3 references and ask how their remodel went, was it on time, within budget and deliver what they expected. Think about what you would be most concerned about and ask about that. Workers Compensation insurance is required by our State to cover any employee, liability insurance is just a real good idea for your protection. Ask for an insurance certificate to be issued to you and call the agent listed to verify coverage before they start to work. A contractor that works without insurance coverage is assigning all risks to you without your consent. Should an uninsured worker become injured you will be ultimately responsible for his/her medical and disability expenses.
