Introduction: I am a seasoned Educator with over 35 years of teaching experience in both the public school system as well as in private sector.
My employers have included those from private tutoring companies, Nassau BOCES, Nassau Community College, and a host of municipalities in New York, including hospitals, Civil Service Employees Unions, Social Services, and alternative education programs. Many of my clients have included international students as well.
My areas of certification are in Elementary Education and Special Education.l have a Masters degree in Education with a Minor in Assessment and Treatment of Children who have significant problems in Reading.
I am also proficient in Spanish and have tutored both school age students and adults in this field for the past 25 years. In addition, I am an experienced
ESL teacher with over 20 years experience working with adults who wish to improve their English conversation and writing skills.
I enjoy the freedom to create a curriculum that is tailored to fit the needs of my potential 'students', whether they be school age student or working adults. I particularly enjoy experimenting with new techniques within my field, as well as exploring the possibilities "outside of the box"!
