FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm involved in various business networking groups that provide lectures and conferences for wedding professionals. I make it a priority to always work with tried and trusted vendors who are also involved in workshops and seminars so that the team I put together to work for a couple, is one that is at the top of their game.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like to think I became a wedding planner through a happy accident! I was involved in the entertainment industry for a large portion of my life and accidnetly started planning fundraisers and galas with an event planner friend of mine. I caught the bug! After about a year of planning corporate events I moved to NYC and interned with a top floral and event designer. Then I fell in love with weddings and the rest is history!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew that it is a full time job being a wedding planner. The average wedding takes about 400 hours to plan so you can imagine how many hours I put into my work when I have 7-10 weddings a year! I work really hard for my couples and try to find them the best deals possible while making sure they stay true to their style and personalities. Although it is an incredibly demanding job, it is also very fulfilling and I love watching my couple walk through the planning process with confidence and ease.
