FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to be fair. My general rate is $45 an hour, but I do offer flat fees if asked. I can't always accommodate, but often we can work something out. Money is not a primary motivator for me, as I like to help people, so I'd say give me a call and let's see what we can work out. I will do payment plans, as long as the person is responsible and keeps his/her word about any agreements made.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will usually speak on the telephone, so I can get an idea of what the situation is, and whether I can be of assistance. If it's an issue where I can help, the person and I will set up a meeting, either I will come to them, they can come to me, or we can meet at a mutually convenient location. I'm pretty flexible and willing to meet most any time. I understand that folks work and have a life, and 9-5 is not always possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Honestly, my bachelor's degree from John Jay College helped for the sake of having the credentials of having a degree. I'm very proud to say that I learned my craft completely on the job, receiving training from some of the best attorneys in New York City, and even the country. I learned from some of the very best out there, which is why my documents are often mistaken for that of an attorney (despite the fact they clearly state they are not! I NEVER misrepresent my credentials.
