FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I often quote a per hour rate, but because each job is unique, I will often give a flat rate for a project once I have met with a customer and discussed the scope of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As every home staging or redesign project is different, I will usually meet with customers for a free consultation to view their homes and discuss their needs, timelines, budget, and in the case of redesign, their color and style preferences if they have particular ones in mind.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For Home Staging, I am a certified professional home stager, having completed course work directly with Barb Schwartz, the originator of the home staging industry who has appeared or been featured many times on the Today show, Good Morning America, HGTV, in the Wall Street Journal and more. I also participate in continuing education courses to keep up with the latest trends and statistics. As far as my Redesign work, I am an associate member of the Interior Design Society and attend seminars sponsored by them and other design groups and also network with a host of other designers and realtors and participate in numerous design education courses. Although not a licensed interior designer, I have an Ohio business license and am a member of many trade and furnishing houses.
