Mr. Shingleton responded to phone calls and text in a quick manner. Shingleton was polite proffessional , and cleaned up his work area as well as listened to what I the customer wanted and gave great ideas to help with the project. Shingleton was a pleasure doing business with and got the job done right the first time.

They did a excellent interior painting work. We wanted to move in to the house with in a week but wanted to paint the house before we move in. We got quotes from different companies.Since the quote from D3 Services was within our budget, we called D3 Services. Dawid came to the house and consultated with me the details and the schedule. He gave the accurate estimate and the schedule to finish the work based on our timeline. All brothers painted the whole house in 3 days. They worked from 7 am to 7 pm. During all days they were very professional, did a wonderful painting job and satisfied what we expected and Not even a small paint drop in my carpet or appliances/furniture. The important thing is they are reliable and we liked their professionalism and consistent communications with us during work to fulfill our expectations. We were very happy that we hired D3 services.

We did hire Paul Decker to do some work at our house in Painesville Ohio. These jobs included replacing all the screens in the gazebo painting and also refinishing our deck. Mr. Decker was prompt and completed the job within a few days. Everything was neat and clean up was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about how to accomplish the job and Helped us choose the proper screens for the gazebo. It looks much better without all of the old holes and wear signs. We also wanted a gate custom built for our deck. He manufactured this and painted it to match the rest of the railing around the deck and it works perfectly. The price was fair and I would highly recommend handyman services.

Ted was the only painter that gave me a free onsite estimate to ensure accuracy and understanding. He saved me over $100 purchasing the paint for me and his price beat out the competition. He's a professional painter and his quality of work reflected that. Lastly, he promised the job to be done in 4 days, but finished in 3. I highly recommend Ted for all your interior painting needs.

it's a difficult job with a camped space, but he did relatively well, and the charge for the whole job is reasonable. there's a few spots missed on paint over though, but it doesn't matter much as an utility room.

Bill saved our butts! We bought a foreclosed home that needed an enormous amount of work and without him we would still be trying to get in our house. He finished drywall. Laid carpet. Laid Pergo flooring. Custom cut odd shaped interior doors. Just to name a few

Very neat work. He took good care of my furniture and carpet being careful not to get paint on them. It's been a few years since he has painted and the job was so professionally done it still looks good. I would definitely hire him again.

Very pleased with Make a Deal Painting. I built my home 12 years ago and their work was excellent beyond anything I could have imagined. They are professional, experienced, and when asked for an opinion it was better than the color schemes used by the original builder.I admit to being "old school at age 65" but this company did not fail in any area, job preparation, skill and respect within my home was exceptional. The responsiveness to detail was unquestioned, prior to leaving the crew took it upon themselves to sand and refinish a door not included and at no additional cost because, "it would be noticeable that the door was not included" and I was just awestruck...I pride myself on being able to pick out half ass from real craftsman..these guys are truly great and I urge their bidding your work.....

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

    • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
    • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
    • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
    • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
    • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
