What is the best waterproof flooring for a basement?

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application. 

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Derek and his Transformation remodeling team were absolutely amazing. They showed up bright and early every working day and finished the job beautifully and right on schedule. Communication was awesome and clear. Pricing was the most transparent I experienced after getting 7 other quotes. Derek seamlessly coordinated material orders and deliveries and relieved all the stress that can come with renovations. He helped make quick design decisions whenever there was a possible bump in the road making sure there was never any delay. The quality and speed in which the work was completed exceeded my expectations and it was an awesome value. My families basement is our new favorite space in the house! We will be using Transformation Remodeling for all future projects!

We had a water leak in the kitchen that ended creating a project that included: removing an old range, cutting some cabinets to fit the new range, patching, painting and wall papering. After no luck with reliability with another contractor, we tried Thumbtack and found Jerry. What a blessing in disguise that the others were flakes- he has been terrific! If you read other reviews and think, "This guy is too good to be true," don't worry; he isn't! He is just a rare breed! Where to start....first, he was very fair and reasonable on the price. Apparently there is an industry standard pricing guide that set process high (hence the sticker shock with everyone else). If he feels that it is unreasonable, he works down from there. His rate was reasonable enough that we could add in changing the title on our backsplash. But this does NOT mean quality is sacrificed. He is more than experienced and it shows. He is extremely neat (never leaves a mess), and his work is careful. A true generalist, he has ended up helping us with other problems that ironically occurred while he was here. I asked him to remove the sink for me so that I could apply some stone finishing to our counters, and he saw that our wiring for our disposal and dishwasher was not up to code (and it wasn't!). He fixed that. Our basement had water in it after rain one night; he helped up trouble shoot where the leak was coming from (it was from a crazy odd place, but he helped our insurance adjuster to find the leak! Our adjuster liked him too, btw). He also fixed a support on our porch that was cracking. From drywall to roofs, he is a household renaissance man. He really went beyond the call of duty for us, and was never, ever "pushy". To top it off, he is very kind, friendly and honest. A couple of days he needed an extra set of hands and brought a couple of workers with him, who were also neat, skilled and polite. I could go on but you get the picture! ;-) My father was extremely handy this way and always did anything around the house with skill, care and integrity. I didn't know anyone else was cut from the same cloth until we met Jerry. If you are lucky enough to grab him, do so.
