I've been working with Tara for almost five months now and I've seen amazing results. I've used personal trainers before, but Tara has some truly unique workouts and knowledge to offer- way more than what you would get going somewhere else. She knows how to cater to your individual needs, switch things up when you need to, and figure out how to meet your goals. She has helped me eat better, work smarter, and be more motivated. Workouts are fun and energetic. I even look forward to getting up early to go to the gym. Definitely hire her- you won't regret it!Aug 19, 2019Verified
Tara is an amazing trainer who’s passionate about her craft. She truly cares about her clients and their lifestyle. And is more than a personal trainer/ accountability couch- she’s your friend who’s right beside you throughout your healthy lifestyle journey. I am beyond grateful I’ve gotten the opportunity to work and get to know her personally. Rare gem.Mar 7, 2020

Hiring Tara has honestly been the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. She comes to MY HOUSE 5 days a week. She is just as invested in me as I am, and that makes her an awesome trainer. She’s knowledgeable and explains things in a way you can understand. She’s also nice (except when she’s making me lunge) and funny so our sessions tend to go by super fast! She doesn’t just do the weight training, she also offers advice on nutrition, which has been really helpful. She really looks at her clients as a whole person and does whatever she can to help you improve yourself. If you are looking for a trainer, Tara is it.Jul 13, 2019Verified
Tara is SO awesome! She’s gotten me truly invested in lifting and makes me feel comfortable both in our sessions and when I’m at the gym on my own. So great, and so much fun to be trained by her!!May 30, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is pretty standard compared to most other fitness coaches. I charge $40 an hour but give discounts based upon how many sessions you sign up for. 3+ sessions per week, 10% off 4+ sessions per week, 15% off 5+ sessions per week, 20% off
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First off, I like to get to know what your fitness and persona life goals. I also think it's important for clients to track their weight, body fat percentage, BMI, and measurements before beginning. I also encourage clients to NOT be obsessed about what the scale says or where their body fat percentage is. When it comes to fitness, this is not a motivating factor. A motivating factor is how a client feels after they workout or have a great lifting session. Another great motivator is taking daily progress pictures to track your progress. This has always been a motivating factor for me as I feel different from week to week and month and month. I also do not weigh myself frequently because I am more about how I feel mentally about myself and my progress. When I don't eat right or have too many cheat meals, I don't feel well and I know it will affect my progress. So in turn, I make sure to stay dedicated to what I know will motivate me to keep going to the gym and incorporate that into my overall lifestyle in and outside the gym. Another part of this process is taking on a growth mindset mentality. A big part of fitness that will change you is how you not only think about yourself but other things that you want to improve about yourself that isn't physical. You become a much more goal oriented person and you become inspired to not just become fit but to become a better person for others as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have worked in public education since 2009. I graduated from Miami University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and am currently finishing up my Master's Degree in Education at Ohio State University. I have worked with all ages from PK-12 to adults. My background is mainly in Art Education but I am very versatile to working with people of all ages, body types, physical/mental disabilities, and/or learning styles. I think the most important thing you need to do as a trainer is to get to know your client personally and get to know what their personal fitness and life goals are before you even begin training. Once I get to know my clients on that level, I work with them through one-on-one training or online to motivate them daily. Since I have a teaching background, I think it's extremely important to create a sort of fitness portfolio for your clients so that they remember where they started and how far they have come. This type of encouragement and motivation keeps my clients going to strive to keep on making necessary changes in their fitness and personal life to better themselves physically and mentally.
