Stephanie and Bret are very professional and extremely knowledgable. They have helped my husband and me turn our dog into a well-behaved German Shepherd Dog. They were quick to respond to my first inquiry about dog training. I like that they not only were interested in our one dog, but also looked at the whole pack (as we have a few dogs) and even evaluated them as a group. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience training your pup.

Lisa has been a pet sitter & dog walker for my Weimaraner for going on two years and when she comes to the door my dog couldn’t be any more excited to see her and go on it’s walk. Very prompt and professional with a great personality, I highly recommend her if your interested in having someone walk and or sit your furry family member.

I discovered NKY Pet Sit LLC, Brandon Hull, on this site. We needed a pet sitter for our special needs dog,Blanche, for one day (it was short notice). I received a prompt response from Brandon. He came to our home first to meet with us and get acquainted with Blanche. Brandon is very professional and really cares about animals. He was sensitive to Blanche's issues. She received great care and Brandon sent us photos and updates with each visit. Getting care for Blanche is stressful for me. I am very selective in choosing a care giver, but with Brandon I felt as ease. I would definitely recommend NKY Pet Sit LLC and Brandon and will use his service when needed in the future.

Best pet sitter in the Dayton area. Very reliable and trustworthy. It is always a comfort to know your pets are being taken care of when you are away from home. Mary Beth Wyss treats my pets as if they were her own. I highly recommend her services!

We have been using Annette for several years and are VERY happy with the outstanding service, care and commitment she provides to our Jack our Jack Russell terrier. We know that when we are away that he is in experienced capable hands and that if anything should happen he will be taken care of. I don't think that we could find another person or service that would treat our dog like their own like Annette does.

Darlene is the best cat sitter out there! She watched our 4 babies for a week while we were out of state. She sent me text updates, wrote up meal time descriptions for us to review, and even helped them pick out a mother's day card! I am extremely impressed that she got our two former ferals to become her friends, play with her, and let her pet them! She is now our go-to for every time we aren't home. I wouldn't trust anyone else to watch my fur babies.

Extremely satisfied. Fit me into her schedule on short notice, and did a beautiful job grooming my Bernese Mountain Dog in preparation for a show. Particularly liked how well she trimmed the nails! Paisley was happy, too. We'll definitely return again. :)

Anyone who knows me in person knows that I am 100% obsessed and protective of my dogs. I always strive to give them the best life they deserve. When my class schedule was getting too busy, I needed someone to help me out with the dogs so they weren't cooped up all day. I am so thankful I found Allie because she seems to care for them as much as I do. When I get back from my classes, they are almost too tired to say hi to me! I also really appreciate how she has personalized regimens for each dog. I have a hyper younger dog and an aging dog so they obviously need different workouts. I honestly have no idea what I'd do if Allie wasn't here to help me out. If you're ever in need of an AMAZING dog walker, give Allie a call!!

If you need it done, we've got you covered. If you want it, we've got it. Simple as that. Taking care of Miami and the beaches since 2002.

About

I do not "officially" have a full-time pet sitting business. However, I have taken care of other people's pets as I would my own. Since I had to put my dog to sleep a year and a half ago, I have not gotten another pet (yet). I always tell people that I treat their dog(s) the way I'd want mine to be treated -- with lots of TLC (Most people want to be my dog in their next life!).

About

Are you a busy pet parent that needs some help? I'm a dog and cat owner that can give you a hand! I've taken care of pets, house sat, and taken care of farm animals for folks who were traveling or experiencing a busy time at work. I also sometimes help out at a local petting zoo.

I teach dogs to sit, wait, stay, lay, and come on command. I can teach them verbal and hand signals. There are many other commands depending on how well you want your dog trained. You must want to work with your dog as well. I'll teach the dog, and I'll teach you what you need to know as well.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

  • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
  • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
    • 45-minute visit: $28.
    • 60-minute visit: $32.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
    • 12 hours: $100.
    • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
