Introduction: The Services we offer stand out because we refuse to be the DJ's you expect. For example, everybody can remember the high school dance DJ or your friend's wedding you went to. Do you remember the music, or how good it was played? Did they read the crowd? Did people have to keep asking for songs because the flow was off? Anything exciting about it, did they play that special song you know? The reason that you don't is because it wasn't special at all. A DJ is supposed to enlighten the crowd, energize it and keep it going, not rely on song choice. Anybody can hook up their phone to a pair of speakers and hit "shuffle", but it takes a real DJ with a real personality to keep the excitement up throughout the night. So back to those other parties. Really the all the Dj was good for was to press "Play". Not me, not US!!! We get the party started...because there is no comfort-zone. We have grown to accomodate all areas and Genres whether it be the young Remix lovers to the Golden Generation. We play the best Throwback Remixes to the dance format, so everybody enjoys themselves. Our flow and remixes are upbeat and hip to todays dance flow. These DJ's will not bore you, with the dance atmosphere and mainly included dance lighting, we can and will get the party started.

We hired 8-Ball Entertainment for our Middle School Halloween dance. The DJ made a point to meet with the students days before the dance to explain what kind of experience they would have and how it was going to be different than what they probably had in the past. He explained that he would play music club-style (clean music for young kids of course), mixing songs, he even had a student dance to some sample songs! He asked them which songs they definitely wanted to hear, and which songs should not be played, and that he would then play a variety of music in between. He asked about the cultural composition of the student body, to play music from their culture. I definitely appreciated that type of sensitivity (he even played Italian music for me, the dance planner). The day of the dance he was there hours ahead of time to set up, sound check, he is definitely a professional. During the dance, as usual in middle school, some kids danced until the last song, some just ran around the whole time. We had an after dance survey for the kids, some said the dance floor was the best thing, some said it was too loud and that they wanted older songs; that's so funny, because others complained about the older songs played before! The DJ couldn't play some of the songs requested by the kids because of the school's Wi-Fi restrictions, so that might have influenced some kids' responses. I'm sure some aspects could be discussed and tailored to the younger crowd needs, but overall I appreciate his professionalism and involvement with the students.

8 ball entertainment is an excellent company. the DJ was on time. he had the crowd involved and most importantly they supported our back to school event and I appreciate them. I will use them for many years to come

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is handles upfront. I do not charge an "hourly" wage as I feel it's not appropriate to this industry. We are charging you to have our professional equipment, and by extension ourselves, added to your event. If the party suffers without it, then it was worth the bill. Imagine a wedding without a DJ, it changes the experience completely.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

real life experience, I have always been musically inclined from playing guitar to intermediate level singing (curious? just ask)
