So you want to know about the dog whisperer... Rachel's training and products have had a profound effect on both my dogs. She gets straight to the core of the problem and knows exactly how to solve it. I have watched Rachel take an anxious, jittery dog and turn it into an obedient, calm pooch - willing to sit, lay down, and walk placidly by her side. That's what's incredible about Rachel - she tells you how she's going to transform your dog, and within minutes (quite literally), your dog is already beginning to morph. Aside from her amazing ability to connect with dogs, Rachel is friendly and knowledgeable. She's not afraid to tell you what you're doing wrong with your dog and this is invaluable for training. She has a strong sense of conviction which makes you feel very confident about her methodology, and she's not afraid to show you exactly how she applies it! If you aren't convinced, just let Rachel spend 10 minutes with your dog.

I am the owner of 4 rescue dogs. I hired Rachel to help me 1) address specific issues such as aggressive behavior, excessive barking and 2) in general improve my ability to manage the dogs behavior and not have 4 unruly out-of-control dogs ruling my life. My half-day session with Rachel showed immediately and tangible results. Rachel prepared for the session with a phone interview and come ready to address my specific needs. She has a clear and well-tought out methodology, the presentation of which gave me the ground work and basic understanding over which to apply the training and techniques. She provided clear hands-on coaching and gave me tools to continue using. She provided ongoing support and coaching via skype. I was able to make key changes in my behavior with the dogs which yielded immediate benefits. One year later my dogs are (in order of importance to me) walking on the leash in a calm and controlled manner 2) no more barking at people passing the house 3) allowing people into the property without rushing the gate and barking hysterically. A HUGE improvement which has for me greatly reduced the stress and increased the pleasure of dog-ownership. Highly recommend Rachel's services.

Rachel was a god send for my fiance and I. We had taken our deaf great dane to a training class recommended by our vet, which we soon after realized that this trainers style was NOT for us. A good friend of ours gave us Rachel's info and within a week or so she was in our living room dog whispering our 3 month old pup. Her training style and effectiveness made us excited about training our dog. She has the perfect foundation of the ideal dog trainer. She also continues to be a great help and makes herself available whenever an issue comes along. Would definitely recommend!

Constant reading, living and handling dogs, webinars, seminars and collegial consulting. I also maintain my LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker) license in the State of Ohio.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was a merging of my passion for animal (dog specifically) behavior and my education and training as a social worker -- I consider my career providing a specific form of social work.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most cases fall into new puppy owners wanting to raise their puppy right; helping owners deal with unruly an defiant adolescent dogs and; my most meaningful, helping owners with dogs with serious anxiety and aggression disorders recover and thrive.
