Im so happy I found Smooth Moves By Ed. When calling around for local movers, it was a relief to reach a real person, Ed himself, instead of a recording. He was communicative through out the process and extremely fair priced. As a busy single mother, I used his packing service and it saved me money and stress. Offering a packing service at a fair price is a life saver. They even un-packed some items and re-assembled furniture! Before they left, Ed offered recommendations for unpacking from his years of experience which saved me time and hassle. The whole team was professional, thorough, detail oriented and organized. Strongly recommended 12/10 ! Thank you!

I have moved many times in my life, always with the major moving companies. I decided to try Ed this time. Although his price was lower than the major mover's quotes, his services were on par or better. From the first contact about providing a quote to the final move yesterday, I found Ed to be professional, knowledgeable, timely, flexible, and helpful as we went through the process. He always responded quickly and helped with very good advice about packing, crating and preparing for the move. At the destination, we carefully placed the furniture and set up the items that needed to be setup. He even helped me hang a couple of very heavy objects on the walls. I would certainly use his services again if I need to move.

Ed and his crew were fantastic. Not only was this a last minute in the evening booking, it was to move some store fixtures between our stores. We needed help in breaking them down to move them and Ed didn't even blink, just pulled out his tools and helped us get it done! Their attention to detail and their carefulness was top notch. We will definitely be using Smooth Moves By Ed again for all our business and personal moving needs! Can't say enough about how happy were with their service!

I had a wonderful experience using Ed and his crew. He was able to fit me in and gave me a great price especially for an out of state move. I was so pleased with every aspect, especially with how well he and his movers managed to get all of our stuff in the truck with room to spare. Ed is an expert at packing the truck just the right way to maximize space, also so that things don't get crushed or shift around while driving. He had to disassemble some items to get them through our narrow doorways and halls and managed to get everything through without scratching a wall. They also hoisted a heavy wooden bed from the backyard over a balcony into a bedroom because there was no way it was getting up the stairs, pure genius! Plus he's a really nice guy!

We moved from Ohio to Leland NC. As you know there are certain items you worry about with moving and getting damaged. I also didnt know when I could find time to pack a 3,000 sq ft home with working full time with kids. I had Ed come out and quote to pack and move my entires house across 3 states. He had a crate made for a fragile piece of solid marble furniture that was extremely sentimental to me. It made it safe and sound along with al my other furniture. He was on time and here at the new home when we needed him. I wouldnt of changed a thing!! The care and attention to detail was remarkable. He was very reasonable priced so we gave him a little extra due to our satisfaction and patience he and his employee had with all the unexpected circumstances!!! Thank you Ed and everyone on your team!

I got into the relocation buisness as a teenage and liked it enough to make a career out of it. I started low on the totem pole and worked my way up from a laborer to a driver then a crew lead and manager for years until I made the switch to start Smooth Moves
