Introduction
Hello! My name is Karen Ferry and I have been a private violin teacher for 11 years. I am passionate about helping people discover the joy, refinement, and reward that comes from music making. I graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music as a Violin Performance Major, and am now finishing my Master’s Degree in Suzuki Pedagogy to be certified in all 10 books. The Suzuki Method is an approach to teaching that encourages all individuals no matter how young, old, experienced, or inexperienced to unlock the joy and reward that comes from dedicated music making. Music has completely changed and shaped my life for the better, and I know it can for you too!

Karen is a capable and compassionate instructor. Her enthusiasm for the violin is obvious and carries into her instruction, creating engaging and fun lessons. Her experience and knowledge really set her apart as there is seemingly no issue she cannot resolve, and resolve through multiple technical, practical, and creative methods. Great violin teacher! Having a professional guide me through the right and wrong way to play made me get much better faster than I ever could have done on my own. When I needed help with things, such as changing my strings, or if I had questions during the week, she was there to help, even off the clock. She truly cares about her students.
As an adult trying to learn a new instrument, and watching her work with children, I can say Karen has a gift with teaching at any level. I would highly recommend anyone to trust their time, effort, and money with this studio.
