FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received most of my education/training for handyman services on the job. Now I will say that all of the people I’ve worked around were licensed is some sort of trade so I do have have knowledge of how most trades work and perform skills to get the job done right.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I owe a lot of my insight and skill to my father who always had weekend projects or things to be fixed around the house. Weather it was re-roofing our house, building our shed, converting our garage into a den, painting the house, the list of projects never seemed to end. As I became older I entered into the apartment maintenance industry where I started adding depth to my knowledge about service/repairs to things from appliances, boilers, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The best advice I would give when dealing with a contractor/handyman is to be a descriptive and provided as much info as possible. Photos go a very long way, the more informed a technician can be before entering/bidding on a job is not only help for him but for you the homeowner. An informed tech will more efficient at his job which will help with the cost and time spent on the job.
